Hi! I'm Daniela Shliak, an artist and illustrator based in Ontario, Canada. As a recent graduate from Sheridan College with a Bachelor's Degree in illustration, I take on the challenge of interpreting visually what cannot be put into words.

my work explores nostalgia, reflecting on both personal memories and universal themes. Through a focus on introspection  and connection, I draw inspiration from the natural world, relying on intricate textures, values, and gradation that often go unnoticed in everyday life.

I primarily work with traditional media and create pieces with the goal of evoking an emotional response from the viewer. With my growing appreciation for body art, I aspire to bring my practice into the world of tattooing. My latest work can be found on my Instagram @grateful_grapefrute :)
